Membership Criteria

(Effective date 20.08.2024)

The TSC membership experience is designed for those who hold sustainability leadership roles within their organizations, dealing with complex challenges and making far-reaching decisions. We assess all invitees and applicants to ensure we can provide a valuable membership experience for them, as well as them being an asset for the other members in the network.

Recognizing that each situation is unique and may not be fully captured on paper, we evaluate each case individually, considering a range of factors to determine if membership is the right fit.

These include:

  • Titles: The most commonly held titles among our members are CSO, Director of Sustainability, and Head of Sustainability.
  • Company size, based on the number of full-time employees.
  • Size of the team managed.
  • Professional journey and goals
  • Location
  • Diversity: Recognizing the challenges faced by women and individuals across the gender spectrum in sustainability, especially when compounded by race, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, or disability, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.
To protect our community as a space for open sharing and meaningful exchange, we do not offer membership to individuals with clear commercial interests in our members. This includes representatives of consulting firms and vendors of sustainability services and software. Should you have any questions about the membership criteria or wish to provide additional context regarding your professional journey in sustainability, feel free to contact us at hey@tsc.earth.

Otherwise, the best course of action is to contact an existing member about an invitation or join the waitlist for a chance to get a limited direct invitation from TSC.
