Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct governs all participation, involvement, and use of products, services, events, and all other offerings (collectively referred to as “Offerings”) provided by or associated with The Sustainability Circle ("TSC", “We”). The aim of these Offerings is to foster inclusivity among a diverse array of backgrounds. We are committed to maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for all individuals, irrespective of gender, sexual orientation, abilities, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or religious beliefs (including non-belief).

Our Values

TSC has established a set of core values that serve as moral guidelines. We request that each member and participant align their actions with these values when engaging with TSC Offerings.

Expected Behaviors

  1. Active Engagement and Assistance:
    • Actively and authentically participate in the Community and Offerings, contributing to the community’s vitality.
    • Assist fellow members promptly when requested, offering reasonable help as your schedule permits, and engage in respectful, proactive communications.
  2. Respectful and Inclusive Communication:
    • Exercise respect and consideration in speech and actions towards all members and participants.
    • Foster an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are solicited and valued, ensuring everyone’s voices can contribute to collective decision-making.
  3. Confidentiality and Responsible Sharing:
    • Maintain the confidentiality of information learned through interactions within TSC, sharing only when expressly permitted by the concerned member.
    • Share information responsibly, considering the impact on community trust and privacy.
  4. Ethical Conduct and Legal Compliance:
    • Demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior, avoiding conflicts of interest and adhering to all applicable laws.
    • Ensure that all contributions, whether verbal or written, comply with legal standards and do not infringe on intellectual property or other rights.
  5. Safety, Mindfulness, and Alertness:
    • Demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior, avoiding conflicts of interest and adhering to all applicable laws.

  6. Supportive Mentorship and Community Advocacy:
    • Engage in mentoring within the community, offering support and constructive criticism to help others excel in their sustainability endeavors.
    • Represent the community’s values and mission accurately and passionately when interacting with external parties or potential members, acting as an ambassador for sustainable practices.

Unacceptable Behaviors

  1. General Misconduct:
    • Engaging in intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory, or demeaning speech or actions is prohibited across all community platforms, at related events, and in one-on-one communications carried out in the context of community business. This includes any behavior that undermines the integrity and value of our community.
  2. Harassment and Discrimination:
    • Harassment, including but not limited to harmful or prejudicial verbal or written comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or disability, is strictly prohibited.
    • Inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images, violence in presentation slides, deliberate intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording, and unwelcome sexual attention are forbidden.
    • Sustained disruption of talks or other events and inappropriate physical contact will not be tolerated.
  3. Privacy and Confidentiality:
    • Violating the confidentiality or privacy of our members is a serious breach of trust and is strictly prohibited. This includes any unauthorized sharing of sensitive information.
  4. Non-Solicitation:
    • TSC promotes a free and open exchange of knowledge without commercial gain. Solicitation of services or products, whether personally or on behalf of an employer, is not permitted within our community platforms.
  5. Counterproductive Behaviors:
    • Actions that contradict our mission or undermine the spirit of our values, such as any form of bullying or actions that cause annoyance, inconvenience, or needless anxiety, are unacceptable.

Unacceptable Content Contributions

Your contributions should not contain offensive, deceptive, or harmful material. They should not impersonate, misrepresent affiliations, or involve unauthorized commercial activities.
Specifically, contributions must not:
  • Include defamatory, obscene, indecent, abusive, violent, hateful, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable material.
  • Promote sexually explicit material, violence, or discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
  • Infringe any intellectual property rights or other proprietary rights of any party.
  • Violate the rights of privacy or publicity of others.
  • Deceive or mislead any person.
  • Encourage or support any illegal activities.
  • Cause unnecessary annoyance, inconvenience, or anxiety.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organization.
  • Engage in commercial activities or sales unauthorized by TSC.

Consequences of Non-Compliance with the Code of Conduct

Any breach of the Code of Conduct by any member, participant, or user of TSC's Offerings is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Individuals who are requested to cease any prohibited actions are expected to comply immediately.
Should a violation occur, TSC or those authorized by TSC may take any measures deemed necessary, including but not limited to removing an individual from an event, temporarily suspending, or permanently revoking the individual’s membership or rights to access and use the Offerings in part or in full. In such cases, no refunds of membership fees or other payments will be issued.

If you encounter or witness any behavior that breaches this Code of Conduct, or if you have other related concerns, please report these immediately hey@tsc.earth

Handling Grievances

If you believe you have been wrongly or unjustly accused of violating this Code of Conduct, you are encouraged to contact TSC with a succinct account of your complaint.
